See Thesis Driven at Blueprint 2024
We're featuring top developers and their unique projects in this year's Vision Stage
Thesis Driven is back at Blueprint 2024! This September, we’re taking over the main stage for half a day, transforming it into the Vision Stage featuring presentations and conversations with the developers of some of the most unique real estate projects around the world.
I’ve been a supporter of the Blueprint conference since it launched in 2018—and today, it’s the largest real estate technology conference of the year, bringing together a fun mix of tech entrepreneurs, VCs, real estate developers, and institutional investors.

Here are a few of the speakers who will be telling the stories of their projects and sitting down with me for a 1:1 conversation on the Vision Stage:
Mary Anne Gilmartin | CEO and Founder, MAG Partners
Gilmartin is among the most accomplished New York developers of our generation, responsible for the New York Times building, Atlantic Yards, the Barclays Center, and much more. But she’s now tackling a totally new challenge: redeveloping a 235-acre section of Baltimore in partnership with Under Armor’s Kevin Plank. The project presents some unique challenges—it’s cut off from the bulk of Baltimore by a freeway—but also opportunities to remake the core of a great city.
Gilmartin joined us on the Thesis Driven Leaders Series podcast earlier this year, and we’ll keep the conversation going on stage at Blueprint.
Damon Hemmerdinger | Co-President, ATCO
Camp North End—Damon Hemmerdinger’s brainchild—is perhaps the most exciting placemaking development being built today in the Southern US. Over the past few years, Hemmerdinger and his team have transformed a 76-acre industrial site in Charlotte, North Carolina into a walkable, mixed use community.
Hemmerdinger will join us on stage to tell the story of Camp North End, how it came together, and his views on the future of placemaking and its role in shaping cities and real estate projects alike.
Casey Roloff | CEO & Town Founder, Seabrook, WA
The founder and visionary behind Seabrook, Washington, Casey Roloff is among the most successful new city builders in the US today. We featured Roloff’s work in Seabrook in a Thesis Driven deep dive last year, and we’re thrilled to have him join us on stage.
From high-profile overseas projects like Saudi Arabia’s Neom to homegrown concepts like California Forever, new cities are having a moment in American urbanism today. While ideas and plans abound, it’s rare to meet an entrepreneur who has taken a new city full cycle, from concept and raw land to a community of thousands and a successful real estate model. Roloff is one of those few.
Rich Rodriguez | Chief Operating Officer, Construction & Development, Amherst
Rich Rodriguez has had a storied career, but he’s perhaps best known for overseeing the development of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, in his prior role as CEO of Emaar Dubai. Rich will discuss his experience building the Burj—as well as the largest mall in the world, the Dubai Mall—and how he applies his learnings to his role today building for-rent communities at Amherst.
We’ll also be hosting two roundtable discussions at Blueprint: I’m moderating one on urban placemaking, while my Fundamentals of CRE co-teacher Paul Stanton is leading one on capital markets. Roundtables are by invitation only, but email me (brad@thesisdriven.com) if you’d like to join either one.
Of course, The Thesis Driven Vision Stage isn’t all there is to Blueprint. Covering three days, the show also features hundreds of speakers including Pete Flint (NFX), Jamie Hodari (Industrious), Spencer Rascoff (Zillow), Brendan Wallace (Fifth Wall), and many more—the full speaker list can be found here.
