Thesis Driven at Blueprint
We're hosting three discussions at the Blueprint real estate technology conference in September, and Thesis Driven subscribers get special access.
As regular readers know, the themes we discuss in Thesis Driven are often enabled by evolutions in technology. Some connections are direct: for example, faster processing power and better software is enabling GPs to make use of data in new ways to identify investment opportunities. Other connections are less direct; commodity offices are struggling and possibly ripe for conversion to other uses largely because broadband improvements over the past 15 years have made video meetings and cloud-based tools “good enough” to act as a substitute for in-office work for many users. And one of our next letters will explore how e-commerce continues to unlock new and unexpected real estate opportunities.
Technology and real estate are inextricably linked, even if “proptech” is having a trough of despair moment. Understanding the path of technology is essential to anticipating changes in the real estate market before they become obvious.
With that in mind, Thesis Driven will be hosting three conversations at 2023’s Blueprint real estate technology conference in Las Vegas. Each discussion will dive into one of the major topics we’ve featured here: data-driven real estate investing, OpCo-PropCo structures, and an institutional real estate investor’s view of proptech.
Now in its third year, I’ve found Blueprint to be one of the best real estate events out there. Jay and the Blueprint team have managed to get some great real estate minds as well as compelling technology entrepreneurs on stage and in the audience, and they’ve tailored the content to make it relevant for real estate investors. I plan to continue their great work by bringing Thesis Driven to the Blueprint stage this year.
Thesis Driven subscribers also receive a $400 discount to attend Blueprint. Discounted purchase link can be found below along with detailed summaries of the conversations we will host.
