Ordinance No. 6593 mandates that all new rental projects with 35 or more units must allocate 10% of units as affordable, including 7% at low income (80% AMI) and 3% at very low income (50% AMI), with an option for developers to pay an in-lieu fee of $10 per square foot instead.
