About the workshop

An interactive workshop for owners, operators, developers, acquisitions teams, asset managers, and the legal and finance professionals supporting them, exploring how AI is reshaping due diligence from LOI to close.

Due diligence is where AI is delivering the most measurable value in commercial real estate today. The work is document-heavy, pattern-driven, and time-compressed, exactly what current AI tools are good at. But most teams are still doing DD the way they did a decade ago: junior analysts buried in data rooms, attorneys abstracting leases line by line, and acquisitions teams racing to close before something gets missed.

In a 2-hour live session, we'll go deep on real-world DD use cases across lease abstraction, financial review, physical and environmental DD, and legal review. We'll examine how leading operators are using AI to abstract leases, normalize T-12s, reconcile rent rolls, parse PCRs and Phase I reports, and summarize title commitments across multifamily, office, industrial, and retail.

Critically, we'll cover both sides of the build-vs-buy decision: specific best-in-class off-the-shelf vendors operating in the DD space today, and foundation model approaches (Claude, GPT, Gemini) for teams who want to build their own workflows. Most operators end up using both, and we'll show you how to decide which workflows belong where.

You'll leave with a practical framework for applying AI to your DD process and a clear view of the vendor landscape.

This workshop is built for the people who actually run DD: acquisitions analysts, asset managers, in-house counsel, and operations leaders, plus the founders, principals, and partners who oversee them. It's relevant across multifamily, office, industrial, and retail, and across organization sizes from emerging managers to institutional shops. No technical background required.

Apply AI across the full DD document set

Leases, T-12s, OMs, rent rolls, PCRs, Phase I reports, surveys, title commitments, and loan documents.

Evaluate the vendor landscape

Understand which off-the-shelf tools lead in lease abstraction, financial review, and environmental analysis, and where they fall short.

Decide when to use foundation models directly

When a frontier model with a thoughtful prompt beats a vendor, and when it doesn't.

Get your data room AI-ready

What to organize, how to structure it, and what your counsel and lenders will accept.

Build a DD workflow that scales

Where to start, which deals to pilot on, and how to roll AI out across acquisitions, asset management, and legal.

See where this is heading

Autonomous DD agents, real-time post-close monitoring, and how the analyst and paralegal roles are changing.
